BUDDHIST PILGRIMAGE’ TO NORTHERN INDIA AND NEPAL: Joy Tours would like to invite you to discover the path of the ‘Buddha Shakyamuni’ and his journey to enlightenment. We will be discovering Buddha’s life and his teaching by visiting historical places in northern India and Nepal. Such as ‘Bodhgaya’, where Prince Siddhartha gained Enlightenment and later, he known as a ‘Buddha’ (the one who is free from all kinds of suffering’). Another major destination from his life is ‘Sarnath’, where he delivered his first talk on Buddhism in front of his first five disciples (Kaundinya, Assaji, Bhaddiya, Vappa, and Mahanama) and created the first Buddhist sangha or community in his lifetime. Kushinagar in northern India, where Shakyamuni Buddha entered ‘Mahar Parinirvana’, the death of his physical body. Possibly the most visited city by Buddhists around the world after Bodhgaya. Day 1 Arrival in Delhi the capital of India
Day 2 Sarnath city in ‘Uttar Pradesh’. An important place in Buddhist history. Buddha gave his first teaching to his first five disciples in Sarnath
Day 3 & 4 Shravasti town, is known for the beauty of ‘Jetvana’ deer park and cave of ‘Angulimala’ in the state of Uttar Pradesh.

✔ Day 5 & 6 Kapilvastu and Lumbini town in Nepal, where Prince Siddhartha was born and brought up in Shakya kula.
✔ Day 7 Kushinagar, in ‘Uttar Pradesh’ where Buddha spent his last days of life.
✔ Day 8 Vaishali city in Bihar, where you can find ‘Ashoka Pillar’ and Ananda Stupa.
✔ Day 9 Nalanda University in Bihar, is an ancient Buddhist University and the first known university in the world.
✔ Day 10 Rajgir, Bihar known for a ‘king Bimbisar’ and his son’s life story and the impact of Buddha’s teaching on their life.
✔ Day 11 & 12, Bodh Gaya, Bihar. The very important place in history where Prince Siddhartha gained enlightenment and is known as ‘Buddha’ is the one who is free from all kinds of existential suffering.
✔ Day 13 end of pilgrimage, saying goodbye and flying back to home country.
